This Privacy Policy describes how Gas Wake Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica ('we', 'us', or 'our') collects, uses and protects personal data when you use the GasWake mobile app and the gaswake.it website ('Services'). We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

Data We Collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

• Account data: first and last name, email address, phone number, date of birth, tax code (codice fiscale), membership number, and — for minors — the data of the parent/guardian who manages the account.
• Location data: while you record a session with the driver's app, we collect GPS position and speed to compute distance, max/average speed and number of runs. Location is only collected while a session is active and is not collected in the background outside of that use.
• Payment data: payments and wallet top-ups are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details on our servers; we only store the outcome of the transaction (amount, date, status) and a Stripe customer/payment identifier.
• Photos and videos: images or videos you choose to upload (e.g. profile picture, session videos, documents for membership registration).
• Push notification token: a device identifier used to deliver notifications about bookings, payments and club news, if you enable notifications.
• Usage and diagnostic data: we use PostHog to understand how the app is used (screens visited, features used) and Sentry to collect crash and error reports, in order to improve the Services.

How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account and club membership.
• To let you book sessions, manage the boat schedule and record session details (including GPS-based speed metrics).
• To process payments and manage your wallet balance.
• To send you transactional notifications (booking confirmations, payment receipts) and, if you opt in, promotional or club-related notifications.
• To ensure the security of the Services and prevent fraud.
• To analyze and improve the Services through aggregated usage statistics and crash reports.

Legal Basis

We process your data based on the performance of the membership/services contract with you, our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Services, your consent (e.g. for optional push notifications and analytics), and, for membership registration, compliance with legal obligations applicable to sports associations.

Sharing With Third Parties

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, namely:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Expo/EAS — app infrastructure and push notification delivery.
• PostHog — product usage analytics.
• Sentry — crash and error reporting.
• Our hosting provider — for storing account, booking and session data on our servers.

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required to do so by law or to protect our rights.

Data Retention

We keep your account and membership data for as long as you remain a member and for the period required afterwards to comply with accounting and legal obligations. Session and GPS data linked to your account are kept as part of your activity history and can be deleted upon request, subject to legal retention requirements for payment records.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (e.g. by disabling push notifications in the app). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali).

Minors

The app allows a parent or guardian to create and manage a linked profile for a minor. In that case, the parent/guardian is responsible for the accuracy of the minor's data and for exercising the minor's rights under this policy.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services or in applicable law. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
